On Saturday, June 8, 2013 more than seventy crafts people and fine artists will show and sell their work at the 35th Annual Coolidge Corner Arts Festival from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Devotion School grounds at 345 Harvard Street. This free public showcase for the arts will feature nationally recognized artists as well as accomplished and emerging artists from New England working in an array of media, from jewelry, fiber, glass, ceramics to photography, watercolor and mixed media.

Exhibitor and felt artist Barbara Poole is this year’s winner of the 2013 Susan Lichter Jury Prize, in memory of of former beloved committee member and her work is featured on all 2013 CCAF promotion materials.

Continuing this year is a partnership with the 6th Annual Brookline Food Festival also happening at Devotion School from noon – 3 p.m., which will serve up bites by local Brookline restaurants such as Zaftigs. Each restaurant will have its own area with tasting portions. Tasting tickets will be sold at a central location for $2 each. Net proceeds will be donated to the Brookline Food Pantry.

The Arts Festival is coordinated and juried by a group of dedicated Coolidge Corner merchants and business people including Sue Stein, owner of Fire Opal, Lea Cohen of Hammond Residential Real Estate and former owner of the Stone’s Throw gallery; Lisa Clark, manager at Brookline Bank, and Mike Kerstein, owner of Simons Shoes.

The Devotion School is located adjacent to the restaurant Zaftigs. The event is accessible by the “C” line to Coolidge Corner and the #66 bus.
