To see how Steps works, listen to Brittany, a Steps student since age 9, now a thriving college sophomore. Over 80% of Steps students finish college – seven times the national average for students from low-income families! Your support makes that possible.

Will you “raise your paddle” for this grand finale Step Up paddle-raise to support Brittany and 309 other Brookline students?

A college degree is the key to success for many. As Brittany attests, “Steps staff are with us every step of the way!” From 4th-16th grade, we’re there with sustained, personal support: academic enrichment, camps, internships, college/career advising, and in-college assistance.

Virtually imagine yourself right now at our Step Up Celebration, cheering on Brittany and other Steps students. What comes next? Raise your virtual paddle to show your support!

Thanks to this amazing Brookline community, we passed our original Step Up goal. We’re now aiming to raise $125,000 – to cover the extra costs tied to remote learning and as a hedge against future uncertainty. Today’s unprecedented crisis for low-income families calls for extraordinary generosity from our community.

Can you help us raise the final $18,000? As an added incentive, our Board of Directors has pledged to match dollar-for-dollar the first $9,000 we receive to put us over the top. Whatever the amount – $100, $500, $1,000 – your gift changes lives right here in Brookline!

This is the culmination of our Virtual Step Up Celebration. And yet, the need remains real for 310 Steps to Success students. You have my heartfelt gratitude for stepping up with us.
