A video of Youth Award winner, Yasmin Siraj’s freestyle skate at the 2013 National Figure Skating Championships will be one of the features of Thursday’s 4th Annual Brookline Youth Awards at the Coolidge. Yasmin is also a concert pianist who has performed at Carnegie Hall 3 times. The 2014 Brookline Youth Awards will be held in the main theater of the Coolidge Corner Theater on April 10 from 7-9pm. The Town of Brookline and this publication sponsor this 4th annual event.

In all 42 Brookline students will be honored, with 14 video interviews featured.

The evening will also feature a vocal performance from BHS student Da’waun Hardy. Josh Grossman and the BHS Slam Poetry Team, The Fighting Troubadours will also perform an original poem.

Ethel Weiss who has run Irving’s Toy and Card Shop since January of 1939 and Paul Epstein, founder of the Brookline Teen Center will be honored as part of the evening.

Admission to the 4th Annual Brookline Youth Awards is free. The Brookline Emergency Food Pantry will be accepting donations at the event.
