Massachusetts Water Resources Authority or MWRA water main work is to continue on Fisher Avenue per the Town of Brookline.  The road is to be closed to through traffic from January 14th to 28th.

The MWRA will continue work on the water main located within Fisher Avenue. The work area is located on Fisher Avenue between Leicester Street and Olmsted Road. The MWRA will be performing this work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7AM and 4PM.

Work is taking longer than previously planned and will require the closure of Fisher Avenue to through traffic from January 14th to January 28th. Due to weather and unforeseen field conditions work will continue into the beginning of March. Residents are urged to use alternate routes. The plan featured on the Town of Brookline’s website depicts a traffic detour plan that will be implemented during the closure of Fisher Avenue.

Updates will be disseminated periodically.  The MWRA apologizes for any inconvenience this important water operation may present.
