Civic engagement and public participation in Town decisions are important to an inclusive and sustainable community.  It is important to provide meaningful and accessible opportunities to increase public participation within the Town.

The Brookline Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Relations in collaboration with the Massachusetts Families Organization for Change is offering a free four-day workshop to increase participation in decision making groups amongst all Brookline residents.

The workshop, Serving on Groups, will provide a learning experience for participants to acquire additional skills and tools to be effective communicators as well as work to de-mystify the process of getting involved in decision-making groups within Brookline.

The workshop will be held from 10 AM to 2 PM on four consecutive Thursdays (February 28, March 7, March 14, March 21) at the Trustman Apartments Community Room.

To register for the workshop, or for more information, please contact Caitlin Starr at cstarr@brooklinema.gov or at 617-730-2345.  Accommodations are available upon request.
