Brookline independent film production company pairs upcoming premiere with donation drive to benefit the Brookline food pantry.

Brookline, MA – Monday, January 26th marks the world premiere of the locally produced film, “Livestock” at the Coolidge Corner Theatre. Featured in the main theater at 7 pm, the film is the latest project of Brookline independent film company, Creepy Kid Productions. The director, producer, cast and entire crew of “Livestock” are all locally-based.

In addition to marking the film’s opening, the event includes a donation drive to benefit the Brookline Food Pantry. The film’s producer’s Christopher DiNunzio and Melanie Kotoch feel “the premiere is an opportunity to raise public awareness about the area’s independent film talent as well as call attention to the impact the economic crisis has had on many in Brookline. Over the past few years, the number of families relying on the Food Pantry has doubled. This opening is a chance for residents to come together in support of the community as a whole”. Donations in the form of canned and non-perishable food, personal care items or checks made out to the Brookline Emergency Food pantry will be gratefully accepted at the premiere. Receptacles for all donations will be available at the Coolidge Corner Theatre entrance.

“Livestock” is a suspenseful horror film set around the malevolent activities of a secret cult-like organization. No longer content with the status quo, a group of members seek to extend its reach beyond traditional boundaries. Unaware of the cult’s existence, two women, Annabel and Tina, are torn from the seeming safety of their world to serve the cult’s sinister plot.

“Livestock” is not rated, however, it is recommended that children under 18 be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets for the premiere may be purchased in advance at the Coolidge Corner Theatre or online at www.coolidge.org. To mark the occasion, the film’s distribution company, Advanced Digital Replication, Inc. is providing a free copy of the film on DVD to those attending the premiere. Copies of the film may also be purchased online for $15 at the Creepy Kid Productions website.
