Gateway Arts presents CHARLIE a film by Lev Omelchenko chronicling a day in the life of artist, Charles Hurvitz. Charles, known by many in the town of Brookline, Massachusetts as Charlie, has been an artist at Gateway for over 15 years. He is known throughout the community and has a strong network of friends.

Film maker Lev Omelchenko says “I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to share CHARLIE with a large audience. In the process of crafting this film I gained an immense respect for Charlie and the people who support his work. The experience affirmed a faith in the power of artistic expression. I hope CHARLIE inspires the same joy and compassion in the viewers that Charlie and his work elicit in his many friends.”

Join Gateway Arts for a one night screening of CHARLIE on January 6, 2016 at the Coolidge Corner Theatre from 7 – 9 p.m. Tickets are now available online for $15 and will be $20 at the door.

This event is sponsored by Specialized Housing, INC., Lorri Berenberg & Rob Wilstein, and Adam Nussenbaum, Attorney at Law.
