The website, FeedBrookline.org, donated by Advanced Digital Websites and announced at the Feed Brookline Benefit Dinner hosted at The Fireplace, is on track to launch this Spring. The site’s mission is to heighten awareness of hunger issues in Brookline and to connect those in need and those able to help with the appropriate resources in town.

Fb11The site will be a robust centralized location to address hunger locally. FeedBrookline.org will host information on local food resources, such as the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry and Brookline Food Co-Op. It will carry basic information such as a Needs List and Hours Of Operation for Brookline’s food resource organizations. In addition, a calendar of benefit events, news, photos, volunteer opportunities and donation mechanisms will be included.

Among the resources featured on the site will be an ever expanding video collection. As the site was announced at the Feed Brookline Benefit Dinner, it is only fitting that the collection opens with a series of videos shot at the event.

In addition to the Dinner Highlights video included with this article, the collection includes : Vision Behind Feed Brookline, The Role of Independent Businesses, Hunger in Brookline, Benefit Raffle, Jim Margolis Speaks About the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry, Roger Grande Introduces the Hunger Banquet, Words From Ben Hoff of the Brookline Literacy Partnership, and Pledge To The Food Pantry

The full playlist of videos from the Feed Brookline Benefit Dinner may be viewed online in advance of the site’s launch.

By offering a full range of information, multi-media material and donation/volunteer mechanisms, FeedBrookline.org will be positioned to carry the momemtum of the Feed Brookline Drive in addressing hunger locally throughout the year.
