Dream Spa Medical has opened up shop at 1340 Beacon Street in Coolidge Corner. Owned by Diana Brouillard and Dr. Joseph A. Russo, Dream Spa Medical combines the aesthetic treatments of a medical practice with a relaxing spa environment.

“I wanted to create something that allowed people to look better and feel better about themselves,” says Brouillard. She applied her cosmetic dentistry experience to launching Dream Spa Medical, which has two locations, one in Brookline and one in Canton.

The facility provides a range of treatments from anti-aging and acne skin care treatments to hair restoration, body shaping, and Botox. “Skincare, anti-aging, and acne, as well as body contouring, are our specialties,” says Brouillard.” And within those categories, there are different treatments and strategies we use to get results.”

Brouillard says there are many misconceptions about these kinds of treatments, the biggest being that it will be obvious you’ve had an anti-aging treatment like Botox. No one wants to walk out looking like a Real Housewife. “If the Botox and the fillers are done well, no one knows that you have them,” says Brouillard. She references entertainer Jennifer Lopez as an example, a 51-year-old who looks well preserved without showing clear signs of a specific treatment.

Another misconception about the industry that Brouillard works to dispel is that these changes are only skin deep. The greatest effect of these services isn’t just a more attractive or younger image; it’s the confidence that comes with it. Brouillard says she’s had women come in for treatments before job interviews and head into their interviews more confident as a result.

Dream Spa Medical offers some of the same services as a dermatologist, but the experience is vastly different. Their Coolidge Corner office features a concierge check-in, treatment rooms with blankets and heated beds, and chicly styled décor throughout. In this manner, the treatments become more of a self-care style experience than a doctor’s trip to fix a problem.

Patients can come into Dream Spa Medical for a whole cosmetic overhaul – or just for a facial. The range of services makes the practice accessible to lots of different needs. Brouillard estimates that most of their Brookline location clients are local, and many can walk to Coolidge Corner’s facility.

But, Brouillard notes, she couldn’t do it alone. “Your team is everything, especially in a service-based industry and at a small business,” she says. “Without the team and without the people who make everything in Dream Spa possible, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.”
