Two prominent figures from the Town of Brookline have each made a donation to the Feed Brookline Benefit Dinner. Their donations will be used to sponsor a place at the dinner for BHS students from the Brookline Literacy Partnership. These students volunteered throughout the drive, distributing collection bins and posters, collecting donations and organizing a raffle at Brookline High to benefit the Food Pantry.
The benefactors, each making an individual donation, are Selectwoman Betsy Dewitt and Town Moderator Edward (Sandy) Gadsby.
Selectwoman Dewitt has a long history of service to the Town of Brookline. She has served as Chair of the Board of Selectman since 2010. She has also served as Executive Director of the Brookline Community Foundation, President of Brookline Improvement Coalition and an advisor to Steps to Success.
As Town Moderator, Sandy Gadsby presides over Brookline’s Town Meeting. He’s also a supporter of Brookline Arts Center and has served as President of Massachusetts Moderators Association from 2011 to 2012.
The Feed Brookline Benefit Dinner will take place Monday, January 30 at The Fireplace Restaurant. Featuring a menu selected by Chef Jim Solomon, all profits from the evening will go to the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry. Advance reservations are required as seating is limited.
