The Board of Trustees of the Public Library of Brookline has begun the process of evaluating the Coolidge Corner Branch as it considers options for improvements to the Branch. A written library building program, which will serve as the guide for future planning will be created from this evaluation.

The library program creation for the Coolidge Corner Branch will include staff and key community stakeholder focus groups, open community conversations, online and paper surveys, demographic and community growth projections over the next 20 years, and a review of trends in library facilities and the services offered.

The public is invited to attend one of the Community Meetings scheduled in January and February to discuss this part of the project. The Meetings will be held in the lower level meeting room of the Coolidge Corner Branch Library at 31 Pleasant St.

The meeting schedule is as follows:

  • Sunday, January 25, 2015 (10am-1pm) – Please enter through the back door, as the main entrance of the library will be closed. Follow the sidewalk to the left of the building down and to the right.
  • Thursday, February 5, 2015 (7pm-9pm) –  Please enter through the main library.

The Library Building Program has been generously funded by the Brookline Public Library Foundation.
