Dress for Success is a not-for-profit organization that offers services to underprivileged women entering the workforce. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and a week’s worth of separates when she gets the job.
Winter clothing needed for the drive include: warm winter coats and accessories, such as scarves, gloves, etc. It is greatly appreciated if the donations are laundered and ready to wear. This greatly speeds up the process of matching items to women in need. The Commission will also accept financial donations to have clothing cleaned if necessary.
The BCW’s drive is scheduled for Friday, January 25th from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday, January 26th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Community Room at the Brookline Police Headquarters, 350 Washington Street, Brookline.
Refreshments will be served during the drive and all of Brookline is invited to attend in support of this important cause.
