Brookline Adult & Community Education, a program of the Brookline Public Schools, has partnered with travel leader, Italian Exclusive Vacations, on a fall getaway to famed Rome and hidden gem, Abruzzo. The trip departs Boston on October 26, 2019, returning on November 4, 2019. After three nights in Rome, visiting famous sites such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, depart by bus to lesser known, but equally spectacular, Abruzzo, “the greenest region of Italy.” In Abruzzo, the group will enjoy a visit and tasting at a local winery, lunch with a local family, a visit to the Abruzzo National Park, as well as a cooking class where you’ll learn the secrets of Abruzzese cooking.
“We are excited to offer something new and different to our community, taking our classes to the next level, says Monica von Huene BA&CE program manager. “Travel is a form of experiential learning, and this trip contributes to the very core of our mission.”
The cost of the trip is $3,250 (double occupancy) and includes airfare to and from Boston/Rome, eight nights accommodations, ground transportation, breakfast as well as additional meals, and daily guided excursions. Register by July 25, 2019, to take advantage of a $250 discount. For more information or to register, please visit our web site at brooklineadulted.org.
