Artists residing in Brookline and the greater United States are participating in a brand new project to help end senior hunger. During Brookline Open Studios on May 5 & 6, 2012, Jenn Mason’s studio will be hosting the Feed Me: a 7 x 7 show. The show will feature 49 works of art created by 49 artists. For a donation of $49 to Meals on Wheels, a donor will receive one of the works of art.

Currently there are more than 7 million seniors in the United States facing the threat of hunger. Meals on Wheels, a national non profit organization, provide meals to seniors. Their vision is to end senior hunger by 2020. Jenn Mason, a Brookline artist and resident, has family members who volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Impressed by her family’s commitment to Meals on Wheels and the Meals on Wheels philosophy, Jenn came up with the idea of the Feed Me: the 7 x 7 Show. During the Brookline Open Studios weekend of May 5 and 6, 2012, Jenn’s studio will feature the Feed Me: the 7 x 7 Show to raise money for Meals on Wheels.

The Feed Me: the 7 x 7 Show will feature 49 pieces of art (7 x 7=49) by artists from Brookline and the greater United States. Each work of art will measure 7″ x 7″ and will be in a variety of different media. A $49 donation to Meals on Wheels will help feed a senior for 7 days. A $49 donation made at Feed Me: the 7 x 7 Show will feed a senior for 7 days and the donor will receive a work of art worth at least $49 (and probably a lot more!)
