The Brookline Community Foundation is proud to introduce new and updated grant programs to create opportunity and promote equity for everyone who lives, learns, works, and plays in our community.
Over the past year, we have seen our community show remarkable resiliency, innovation, and compassion in the face of several unprecedented crises. And as we celebrate and uplift these accomplishments, we also recognize that some of the challenges we see across the country and here in Brookline have become more acute this past year, especially for Black communities, Indigenous communities, communities of color, and other communities that have been and continue to be disproportionately impacted.
That’s why we have committed the last several months to review our core grant programs, updating them to more strongly align with community needs and to make the application process easier.
Our aim is to make transformative investments in organizations and community efforts that create an inclusive and equitable Brookline for all, and that prioritize efforts focused on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and other vulnerable populations.
In the coming days, Katie DesBois, Director of Program & Partnerships, will share detailed program descriptions as well as this year’s first request for proposals for our Community Grant Program.
I invite you to learn more about our updated grant programs and priorities by visiting our website and to send any questions you have to grants@brooklinecommunity.org.
As always, thank you for being in this work together, and for all you do to make Brookline a wonderful place to live, learn, work, and play.
With gratitude,
Giselle Ferro Puigbo
