Scam Hits Brookline Businesses

E-mail Print PDF

On July 1, two Coolidge Corner businesses were targeted by individuals claiming to represent NStar. The businesses were told they were behind on their electric bills.  Each business was instructed to purchase a prepaid Green Dot Card and pay the remaining balance in order to stave off termination of their electrical service.  The culprits supplied a callback number of 801-738-4005.

If your business or residence receives a similar call, please contact the Brookline Police at 617-730-2222.
