BROOKLINE, MA - The Brookline Rotary Club sponsored a hugely successful winter clothing drive January 7-16 to benefit Cradles to Crayons. Brookline schools' PTOs also provided support. Six designated Brookline dropoff locations (Chobee Hoy RE Associates, Johnnie’s Fresh Market, Brookline Bank, Phillips TV and Radio, Fast Frame and Coldwell Banker) were given collection bins. Donations filled eight bins, exceeding the drive’s goal. Donated clothing, school supplies and backpacks helped fill the need of over 15,000 requests. The drive continues Rotary’s mission of “service above self”.
Brookline Rotary’s next event is the “Have a Heart Chocolate Extravaganza” on February 12, noon to 3 pm at the Brookline Holiday Inn. All proceeds help fight hunger in our community. For more information, visit Brookline Rotary on Facebook.
